冷氣技術員做空調系統嘅安裝、保養同維修，會接觸受管制雪種同電力部分，所以法定同安全要求都跟得緊。
建造及維修呢個行業係點運作
地盤工、水喉、木工、油漆、鋁窗、冷氣等工種。呢個行業靠工藝同年資：建造業議會同水務署各有註冊／訓練制度，學徒制（邊做邊讀）係最常見嘅入行通道，持牌水喉匠更要向水務署註冊。工作體力要求高，安全訓練係開工前嘅硬性條件。
Site work and the wet trades — plumbing, carpentry, painting, window frames and air conditioning. This sector runs on craft skill and years on the tools: the CIC and the Water Supplies Department each run registration and training schemes, apprenticeship (learn while you earn) is the usual way in, and licensed plumbers must register with the WSD. The work is physical, and safety training is compulsory before you start.

安裝階段要吊裝室外機、鋪設冷媒管同去水管、做真空抽氣同試運行；保養階段就定期清洗盤管同濾網、檢查壓縮機電流、量度出水同回風溫度、記錄數據。夏天同維修高𡶶期工作量大，常要輪班同緊急出勤。
行內一般要求中三或以上學歷，讀職業訓練局空調製冷／屋宇裝備課程或經學徒訓練入行；地盤工作要持建造業工人註冊證同完成認可安全訓練。電力部分涉及《電力條例》下嘅註冊要求；雪種處理要符合環保署規定，實際條件以機電工程署同環保署公布為準。
薪酬冇法定薪級，由僱主按日薪或月薪決定；自僱或做外判保養合約就按報價扣物料同人工成本，本站唔估算收入。路線：學徒／助理 → 冷氣技工 → 高級技工或主管 → 承辦商，亦可專做調試、能源管理或冷凍設備。

Installation involves mounting outdoor units, running refrigerant and drain pipes, pulling a vacuum and commissioning; maintenance involves cleaning coils and filters, checking compressor current, measuring supply and return temperatures and keeping records. Peak summer and breakdown periods are busy, with shift and emergency call-out work.
Secondary 3 or above is usual, with a Vocational Training Council air-conditioning, refrigeration or building services course or an apprenticeship; site work needs a registered construction worker card and recognised safety training. The electrical side engages the registration requirements under the Electricity Ordinance, and refrigerant handling must meet the Environmental Protection Department's rules, as published by both departments.
There is no statutory pay scale: the employer sets day rates or monthly pay, while contractors on maintenance contracts deduct materials and labour from the quoted price, so this site prints no estimate. The route runs apprentice or assistant, air-conditioning technician, senior technician or supervisor, then contractor, with scope to specialise in commissioning, energy management or refrigeration plant.

水喉學徒係香港水管工程嘅入行起點：跟持牌水喉匠做供水同排水工程，同時讀職專課程，累積年資後考水務署水喉匠考試。
建築工人係地盤前線工種嘅統稱：紮鐵、釘板、落石屎、砌磚、批盪同拆卸等。入行靠訓練同工藝測試確立技能，而喺地盤工作要有建造業工人註冊證。
註冊水喉匠（持牌水喉匠）係唯一可以合法承接指定供水系統工程嘅身分，牌照由水務署簽發，要先通過水喉匠考試。
「裝修師傅」係行業統稱，唔係單一牌照：電力、水務同小型工程各自有法定資格要求，結構改動更加要入則批准。
