建築工人係地盤前線工種嘅統稱：紮鐵、釘板、落石屎、砌磚、批盪同拆卸等。入行靠訓練同工藝測試確立技能，而喺地盤工作要有建造業工人註冊證。
建造及維修呢個行業係點運作
地盤工、水喉、木工、油漆、鋁窗、冷氣等工種。呢個行業靠工藝同年資：建造業議會同水務署各有註冊／訓練制度，學徒制（邊做邊讀）係最常見嘅入行通道，持牌水喉匠更要向水務署註冊。工作體力要求高，安全訓練係開工前嘅硬性條件。
Site work and the wet trades — plumbing, carpentry, painting, window frames and air conditioning. This sector runs on craft skill and years on the tools: the CIC and the Water Supplies Department each run registration and training schemes, apprenticeship (learn while you earn) is the usual way in, and licensed plumbers must register with the WSD. The work is physical, and safety training is compulsory before you start.

紮鐵工綁紮鋼筋籠同鋼筋網；釘板工做模板（木模、鋁模）支撐石屎；石屎工負責澆築、震搗同養護；砌磚工做磚牆同間隔；批盪工做牆身同天花飾面；拆卸工按程序拆結構。共通點係要識睇施工圖、聽指示、用電動同氣動工具，並嚴守高空工作、起重吊運同用電安全規定。
門檻係三件事：持有建造業工人註冊證（向建造業議會申請，按工種及技能水平註冊）；完成認可嘅建造業安全訓練課程先可以進入地盤；如要註冊為熟練技工，一般要通過該工種嘅工藝測試。電力、水務同小型工程等工序另有法定資格要求，唔可以單靠工人註冊證去做。
薪酬冇法定薪級，由僱主或判頭按日薪、件工或月薪決定，同工種、技能水平同地盤進度掛鈎；跟判頭開工或自僱，收入會隨開工日數浮動，所以本站唔估算收入。路線係註冊普通工人 → 註冊半熟練技工 → 註冊熟練技工（大工）→ 管工 → 判頭／承辦商，亦可轉做安全督導、質量檢查或機械操作。

Bar fixers tie reinforcement cages and mats; formworkers build timber or aluminium formwork to support concrete; concreters place, vibrate and cure concrete; bricklayers build walls and partitions; plasterers finish walls and ceilings; demolition workers take structures down to procedure. What they share is reading construction drawings, following instructions, using power and pneumatic tools, and strictly observing rules for work at height, lifting operations and electrical safety.
The gate has three parts: a registered construction worker card applied for through the CIC and tied to a trade and skill level; a recognised construction safety training certificate before entering a site; and, for registered skilled worker status, passing the trade test for that trade. Electrical, plumbing and minor works items carry separate statutory qualifications that a worker card alone does not cover.
There is no statutory pay scale: the employer or subcontractor sets day rates, piece rates or monthly pay according to trade, skill level and site progress, and income follows the number of days worked for those paid through subcontractors, so this site prints no estimate. The route runs registered general worker, registered semi-skilled worker, registered skilled worker, supervisor, then subcontractor, with moves into safety supervision, quality checking or plant operation.

水喉學徒係香港水管工程嘅入行起點：跟持牌水喉匠做供水同排水工程，同時讀職專課程，累積年資後考水務署水喉匠考試。
註冊水喉匠（持牌水喉匠）係唯一可以合法承接指定供水系統工程嘅身分，牌照由水務署簽發，要先通過水喉匠考試。
冷氣技術員做空調系統嘅安裝、保養同維修，會接觸受管制雪種同電力部分，所以法定同安全要求都跟得緊。
「裝修師傅」係行業統稱，唔係單一牌照：電力、水務同小型工程各自有法定資格要求，結構改動更加要入則批准。
