Plumber Apprentice
水喉學徒係香港水管工程嘅入行起點：跟持牌水喉匠做供水同排水工程，同時讀職專課程，累積年資後考水務署水喉匠考試。
建造及維修呢個行業係點運作
地盤工、水喉、木工、油漆、鋁窗、冷氣等工種。呢個行業靠工藝同年資：建造業議會同水務署各有註冊／訓練制度，學徒制（邊做邊讀）係最常見嘅入行通道，持牌水喉匠更要向水務署註冊。工作體力要求高，安全訓練係開工前嘅硬性條件。
Site work and the wet trades — plumbing, carpentry, painting, window frames and air conditioning. This sector runs on craft skill and years on the tools: the CIC and the Water Supplies Department each run registration and training schemes, apprenticeship (learn while you earn) is the usual way in, and licensed plumbers must register with the WSD. The work is physical, and safety training is compulsory before you start.

入行本身冇法定牌照，但一般要求中三或以上學歷（實際視僱主及訓練計劃而定），身體狀況要適合做體力同高空工作。真正嘅關卡係考牌：向水務署申請水喉匠考試並符合學歷同實務年資等條件，合格同取得牌照之後，先可以獨立承接指定水管工程。
薪酬冇法定薪級，由僱主按日薪、月薪或件工決定，學徒期、技工期同持牌後嘅計法唔同，自承接工程就按報價扣成本，所以本站唔估算收入。路線係學徒 → 水喉技工 → 持牌水喉匠 → 管工或自行承接工程。

You work with a plumber at housing estates, commercial buildings, schools and sites on supply and drainage jobs, learning to read drawings, take off materials, use the tools and judge the order of work, as well as explaining time and materials to clients and subcontractors.
No statutory licence is needed to start, but Secondary 3 or above is the usual expectation depending on the employer and training scheme, and you must be fit for physical and height work. The real gate is the licence: you apply to the Water Supplies Department for the plumbing examination and must meet its academic and practical experience conditions; only then may you carry out specified pipe works independently.
There is no statutory pay scale: the employer sets day rates, monthly pay or piece rates, and the basis differs between apprenticeship, technician work and licensed work, while contractors deduct their own costs from the quoted price. The route runs apprentice, plumbing technician, licensed plumber, then supervisor or contractor.

建築工人係地盤前線工種嘅統稱：紮鐵、釘板、落石屎、砌磚、批盪同拆卸等。入行靠訓練同工藝測試確立技能，而喺地盤工作要有建造業工人註冊證。
註冊水喉匠（持牌水喉匠）係唯一可以合法承接指定供水系統工程嘅身分，牌照由水務署簽發，要先通過水喉匠考試。
冷氣技術員做空調系統嘅安裝、保養同維修，會接觸受管制雪種同電力部分，所以法定同安全要求都跟得緊。
「裝修師傅」係行業統稱，唔係單一牌照：電力、水務同小型工程各自有法定資格要求，結構改動更加要入則批准。
