九龍寨城係新界租借談判留低嘅特殊地帶：主權同管治一直有爭議，直到二十世紀末清拆。呢條軸由寨城建立、管轄權交涉，排到清拆決定嘅條目，係香港「邊界內嘅例外」最典型嘅一頁。

The Kowloon Walled City was the anomaly left by the New Territories lease: sovereignty and administration stayed contested until its late-twentieth-century demolition. This thread runs from its founding through the negotiations to the decision to clear it.
