Sha Lo Tung is a valley wetland in north-east Tai Po: paddies abandoned into marsh, a developer’s land purchase and golf-course scheme, judicial review, then a site of special scientific interest and conservation land-exchange proposals — ecology, tenure and planning records on one thread.

同一條山谷喺志錄有兩種寫法（沙羅洞、沙螺洞），呢頁一律當同一地方，唔會當兩個地方。山谷冇獨立人口統計：人口數字由 facts.ts 派生，係大埔區全區口徑，唔可以當成山谷本身嘅數字；發展爭議嘅細節只按志錄原文，未載錄嘅唔會補。

The same valley appears in the archive under two spellings; both are treated as one place here, never as two. No separate population count exists for the valley: the figure comes from facts.ts and covers the whole Tai Po district, not the valley itself. Details of the development dispute follow the archive only, and unrecorded points are not added.
