背景 Background

The Bund premiered on TVB in 1980, set amid 1930s Shanghai gangland rivalries and starring Chow Yun-fat and Zhao Ya-zhi among others. It brought a “Shanghai Bund” image into Hong Kong household entertainment; Frances Yip’s theme song of the same name is long cited among landmark Cantonese TV themes. This entry records the work as a cultural marker, not a full plot summary.
