In 1680, tiger attacks were frequent within Xin'an County, injuring many people, and it took more than a year for the situation to gradually ease.

清康熙十九年七至八月期間，新安縣境內有人於西邊天際發現彗星，該天體持續可見達數個月之久，最終方纔隱沒。
During the 7th and 8th months of the 19th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing dynasty, a comet was sighted in the western sky within Xin'an County, remaining visible for several months before finally disappearing.

鄭氏家族原籍福建永安，於1680年遷至荃灣城門圍定居。
The Zheng family, originally from Yong'an in Fujian, moved to Shing Mun Wai in Tsuen Wan in 1680.

1680-06-26 · 白石海沙江、沙江圍、廈村、鷄柏嶺寨、雞伯嶺
1680年6月26日，有海盜於白石海沙江（即今沙江圍）上岸，沿著海岸線搶掠廈村周邊地區；鷄柏嶺寨（即今雞伯嶺）的士兵與百姓奮力抵抗數天，最後仍被攻破並遭殺戮。
On 26 June 1680, pirates landed at Pak Shek Hoi Sha Kong (today's Sha Kong Wai) and plundered the area around Ha Tsuen along the coastline; soldiers and civilians at Kai Pak Leng Fort (today's Kai Pak Leng) resisted for several days but were ultimately overrun and killed.
