張家朗（Edgar Cheung Ka-long），1997年6月10日在香港出生，祖籍山東煙台，是香港男子花劍運動員，有「少年劍神」與「香港劍神」之稱。他出身籃球世家，父親張子倫及母親陳雪玲都曾是籃球運動員，他自小已是籃球場常客，學籃球比學劍擊還要早，後來才轉攻劍擊。他身高約1.93米，慣用左手持劍，中四時退學轉為全職運動員，2014年加入香港成年隊。
2014年，他在約旦舉行的亞洲青少年劍擊錦標賽一口氣囊括男子青年組花劍個人、少年組花劍個人、青年組花劍團體及少年組花劍團體四面金牌，成績突出。2015年，他在亞洲劍擊錦標賽取得男子花劍個人第三名；2016年4月，他在無錫舉行的亞洲劍擊錦標賽決賽以15比13擊敗日本劍手千田健太，奪得男子花劍個人金牌，成為香港首位在該項賽事封王的劍手，同年並出戰里約奧運。2018年雅加達亞運會，他取得男子花劍個人銅牌。
2021年東京奧運，他在男子個人花劍決賽以15比11擊敗衞冕的意大利劍手加羅佐，奪得金牌，成為香港回歸後首位奧運金牌得主，也是香港首位奧運劍擊金牌及首位男子奧運金牌得主。2022年1月，他在世界盃巴黎站決賽以15比12擊敗意大利劍手盧比利封王，成為首位奪得男子花劍世界盃分站冠軍的香港人；同年4月18日，他登上世界排名第一，是香港首位登上男子花劍世界第一的劍手；其後在開羅世界錦標賽取得銅牌，成為香港首位在世錦賽奪牌的男子劍手。2023年，他在成都世界大學生運動會囊括男子花劍個人及團體金牌，並在杭州亞運會男子花劍個人決賽以15比2擊敗中國選手陳海威，奪得香港劍擊史上首面亞運個人賽金牌。
2024年巴黎奧運，他以15比14險勝意大利的馬基，成功衞冕，成為香港首位連續兩屆奪金的運動員，並獲選為中國香港代表團開幕禮持旗手。他的佳績帶動香港劍擊普及，「家朗效應」令劍擊班與場地需求急增，他並獲香港特區政府頒授銀紫荊星章。他自幼在父母的薰陶下接觸運動，中學時期已多次代表香港出賽，師隨法籍教練格哥利（Grégory Koenig），並在香港浸會大學修讀體育及康樂管理。2022年他亦奪得亞洲劍擊錦標賽男子花劍個人金牌，世界排名一度高踞第一，是繼江旻憓之後第二位登上世界第一的香港劍手。他在比賽戰鞋上寫着「Don't lose your way」提醒自己勿忘初心，其冷靜與臨場應變屢次在關鍵賽事發揮作用。2021年東京奧運奪金後，香港掀起持續多年的劍擊熱潮，他亦與蔡俊彥、張小倫等同為香港男子花劍團體的骨幹。

Edgar Cheung Ka-long (born 10 June 1997 in Hong Kong), whose ancestral home is Yantai in Shandong, is a Hong Kong men's foil fencer known as the Boy Sword God and the Sword God of Hong Kong. He comes from a basketball family, both his father Cheung Chi-lun and mother Chan Suet-ling having played the sport, and grew up on basketball courts before taking up fencing. Standing about 1.93 metres and fencing left-handed, he left school in Form Four to turn professional and joined the Hong Kong senior team in 2014.
At the 2014 Asian Cadet and Junior Fencing Championships in Jordan he swept four golds, in the junior individual foil, cadet individual foil, junior team foil and cadet team foil. In 2015 he took bronze in the men's individual foil at the Asian Fencing Championships; in April 2016, at the same championships in Wuxi, he beat Japan's Kenta Chida 15-13 in the final to win gold, becoming the first Hong Kong fencer to take that title, and competed at the Rio Olympics the same year. In 2018 he won bronze in the men's individual foil at the Jakarta Asian Games.
At the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 he beat defending champion Daniele Garozzo of Italy 15-11 in the men's individual foil final to take gold, becoming Hong Kong's first Olympic champion since the handover and its first Olympic fencing and first male Olympic gold medallist. In January 2022 he won a World Cup stage in Paris, beating Italy's Lubelli 15-12 in the final, the first Hong Kong man to win a foil World Cup event, and on 18 April 2022 he became the first Hong Kong male fencer to reach world number one. He then took bronze at the World Championships in Cairo, Hong Kong's first male world-championship medallist. In 2023 he won both the individual and team foil golds at the Chengdu World University Games and the men's individual foil gold at the Hangzhou Asian Games, beating China's Chen Haiwei 15-2 to claim Hong Kong fencing's first Asian Games individual title.
At the Paris Olympics in 2024 he beat Italy's Filippo Macchi 15-14 to defend his title, becoming Hong Kong's first athlete to win gold at two consecutive Games, and served as the delegation's flag bearer at the opening ceremony. His success drove a boom in local fencing, dubbed the Ka-long effect, and he was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star. Coached by the Frenchman Gregory Koenig, he studies sports and recreation management at Hong Kong Baptist University and has often used the motto 'Don't lose your way' to keep himself grounded.
