李麗珊1970年喺長洲出世，少女時代喺島上沙灘接觸滑浪風帆，由長洲練到世界之巔。1996年亞特蘭大奧運，佢喺女子滑浪風帆奪得金牌——係香港歷史上第一面奧運金牌，當時正值回歸前夕，全港市民隔住電視見證區旗升起，感動落淚。佢其後喺2002年釜山亞運再奪銀牌，2008年退役，被尊稱為「風之後」。佢證明咗香港運動員企得上國際頒獎台，亦帶動咗政府對精英體育嘅投資。

Lee Lai-shan, born in Cheung Chau in 1970, learned windsurfing as a girl on the island's beaches. At the 1996 Atlanta Olympics she won gold in women's mistral windsurfing — the first Olympic gold medal in Hong Kong's history, played across the city on television as Hong Kong neared the handover. 'Hong Kong athlete, and a really good one' — her flag-raising moment made her the city's most beloved sportswoman; she later won silver at Busan 2002 Asian Games and retired in 2008.
