西西（張彥，1938–2022），上海出世、香港長大，以童心同實驗精神寫作五十年。1979年嘅《我城》透過年輕人嘅明亮目光看香港，開創咗屬於呢座城市嘅都市文學，成為後來幾代香港作家嘅起點。《浮城誌異》以超現實筆法寫浮在半空嘅城，成為香港身份命題最著名嘅文學寓言。2019年佢獲美國紐曼華語文學獎，被公認為香港最重要嘅作家之一。

Xi Xi (Cheung Yin, 1938-2022) came to Hong Kong from Shanghai as a child and grew up in the city whose name she made unforgettable. Her 1979 novel My City (我城) imagines Hong Kong through the bright, wondering eyes of youthful workers, founding an affectionate urban literature that generations of Hong Kong writers have drawn on. Her fiction, poetry and essays experiment with form while always circling the question of what it means to live in this floating city.
