劉智鵬

劉智鵬（Lau Chi-pang）係香港歷史學家同政治人物，獲頒太平紳士榮銜。劉智鵬喺香港出生同長大，1984年取得香港大學中文系學士學位，1987年取得碩士學位，2000年赴美國華盛頓大學歷史系修讀博士。劉智鵬現任嶺南大學歷史系教授、校長特別顧問（公共事務）暨傳訊及公共事務處處長，兼任香港與華南歷史研究部主任。佢亦曾任屯門區議會議員、鄉議局執行委員、保育歷史建築諮詢委員會主席、環境諮詢委員會委員同衞奕信文物基金理事。劉智鵬係香港地方志中心總編輯，20年來帶領團隊通過口述史還原東江縱隊港九大隊抗戰現場，協助將香港抗戰歷史搬進香港沙頭角抗戰紀念館。佢亦係香港特別行政區立法會議員（選舉委員會界別）。劉智鵬主要研究方向係香港歷史同華南歷史。

Lau Chi-pang JP is a Hong Kong historian and politician. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Lau earned his BA (1984) and MA (1987) from the Department of Chinese at the University of Hong Kong, and his PhD from the Department of History at the University of Washington in 2000. Lau is currently Professor of History at Lingnan University, Special Advisor to the President (Public Affairs) and Director of Communications and Public Affairs, and also serves as Director of the Hong Kong and South China Historical Research Programme. He has also served as a Tuen Mun District Council member, an Executive Committee member of the Heung Yee Kuk, Chairman of the Antiquities Advisory Board, a member of the Advisory Council on the Environment, and a Trustee of the David Wilson Heritage Trust. Lau is the Chief Editor of the Hong Kong Chronicles, and for 20 years has led teams to reconstruct the Hong Kong-Kowloon Independent Battalion of the East River Column's war-of-resistance history through oral history, helping bring Hong Kong's war-of-resistance history to the Sha Tau Kok War of Resistance Memorial Hall. He is also a member of the Legislative Council (Election Committee constituency). Lau's main research areas are Hong Kong history and South China history.
