橫瀾島喺香港東南水域，志錄提到佢多數同燈塔、氣象觀測、航道同法定古蹟有關：由十九世紀末設燈塔、每日以電報傳氣象報告，到後來嘅自動氣象站同古蹟地位。呢條軸把同一座小島嘅紀錄排成一線。

Waglan Island sits in Hong Kong’s south-eastern waters; the archive mentions it mostly through its lighthouse, weather observations, shipping lanes and monument status — from the lighthouse and daily telegraph reports at the end of the nineteenth century to later automatic stations and listed status.

島上冇獨立人口或遊人數目公布，呢頁唔會估算；「橫瀾組」係地質地層名，同呢座島無關，所以刻意唔用「橫瀾」兩個字做命中（否則幾十條地層條目會混入）。離島區層面嘅數字係全區口徑（包含長洲、大嶼山等），唔可以當成橫瀾島本身嘅數據。

No separate population or visitor figures are published for the island and none are estimated here. “Waglan Formation” is a geological unit unrelated to this island, which is why the bare place word is deliberately not used as a match — it would pull in dozens of stratigraphy entries. Islands District figures cover the whole district (Cheung Chau, Lantau and others) and must not be read as the island’s own.
