天文台與土木工程拓展署、渠務署提供極端天氣的原始紀錄。2023年9月7日天文台總部錄得歷史最高一小時雨量 158.1 毫米；同年全年接獲山泥傾瀉報告 601 宗。 自1946年以來的十號颶風信號清單（名稱、日期、最高風速、維持時間）、歷史最高一小時雨量排名、全港水浸黑點數目，及歷年山泥傾瀉分佈，屬尚未逐項收錄之延伸資料，分別以天文台警告信號紀錄、渠務署為官方來源。記錄性數字須區分「歷史極值」與「同年年度統計」兩種口徑。

The Hong Kong Observatory, the CEDD and the Drainage Services Department hold the original records of extreme weather. On 7 September 2023 the Observatory's headquarters logged a record one-hour rainfall of 158.1 mm; 601 landslide reports were received in the whole of 2023. The full list of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.10 (name, date, peak wind, duration) since 1946, the ranking of highest one-hour rainfall, the number of flooding blackspots, and the distribution of landslides by year are further data not yet itemised, with the Observatory's warning-signal archive and DSD as official sources. Record figures must be separated from same-year annual statistics as two different calibres.
