李家超（1957– ），1957年生於香港，童年在深水埗蘇屋邨長大，中學就讀九龍華仁書院，1977年加入皇家香港警察任見習督察。他1997年晉升總警司，2003年任警務處助理處長（西九龍總區指揮官），2007年任警務處高級助理處長，2010年獲委任為警務處副處長（管理）。2012年他離開服務35年嘅警隊出任保安局副局長，2017年升任保安局局長，係回歸後首位警察出身嘅保安局局長。2021年6月他接任政務司司長，成為首位紀律部隊出身嘅司長，同月出任候選人資格審查委員會首任主席。2022年4月他辭任並參選行政長官，5月8日以1,416票當選，7月1日就任第六任行政長官，同時出任港區國家安全委員會主席。任內香港與內地恢復全面通關，《維護國家安全條例》於2024年3月通過並生效，啟德體育園於2025年開幕。

John Lee Ka-chiu (b. 1957) grew up in So Uk Estate in Sham Shui Po and studied at Wah Yan College, Kowloon before joining the Royal Hong Kong Police as an inspector in 1977. Promoted to chief superintendent in 1997, he served as Assistant Commissioner for the Kowloon West region from 2003, Senior Assistant Commissioner from 2007 and Deputy Commissioner (Management) from 2010. Leaving the force in 2012 after 35 years, he served as Under Secretary for Security and from 2017 as Secretary for Security, the first police officer to hold that post after the handover. In June 2021 he became Chief Secretary, the first from the disciplined services, and chaired the new Candidate Eligibility Review Committee. He resigned in April 2022 to stand for Chief Executive, was elected on 8 May with 1,416 votes and took office on 1 July as the sixth Chief Executive and chairman of the Committee for Safeguarding National Security. His term has seen the full resumption of quarantine-free travel with the mainland, the passage of the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance in March 2024 and the opening of Kai Tak Sports Park in 2025.

John Lee is the first Chief Executive to come from the disciplined services, rising from the police force to the top of government. His tenure completed the legislation for Article 23 of the Basic Law, restored full travel with the mainland and used major projects such as Kai Tak Sports Park to drive the events economy, with priority given to national security and economic recovery.
