吳靄儀

吳靄儀（1953年出世），係香港資深大律師同政治人物。佢早年就讀香港大學同倫敦政治經濟學院，1978年取得大律師資格，1993年成為資深大律師。1990年代末，吳靄儀因為參與居港權訴訟而為公眾認識。2000年，佢透過香港島地方選區補選當選立法會議員，一直擔任至2012年。2006年公民黨成立，吳靄儀出任創黨主席，至2011年卸任。佢亦曾任基本法推廣督導委員會同獨立監察警方處理投訴委員會委員。作為泛民主派嘅重要人物，吳靄儀一直就政制改革同人權議題發表意見。

Audrey Eu Yuet-mee, born in 1953, is a Hong Kong senior counsel and politician. Educated at the University of Hong Kong and the London School of Economics, she was called to the Bar in 1978 and took silk in 1993. She first rose to public prominence in the late 1990s through her work on the right of abode litigation. In 2000 she won a Legislative Council by-election in the Hong Kong Island geographical constituency and served as a legislator until 2012. She was the founding chairwoman of the Civic Party from 2006 to 2011. Eu also served as a member of the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee and the Independent Police Complaints Council. She was a leading voice in the pan-democratic camp on constitutional reform and human rights issues.
