按政府統計處 2025 年年底數字，香港陸地總面積為 1 114.6 平方公里：香港島 80.7、九龍 46.9、新界及離島 986.9。面積會因填海而輕微改變，故須讀「年底」時點。 香港政府一站通指出，香港由香港島、大嶼山、九龍半島以及新界（包括 261 個面積 500 平方米或以上的島嶼，香港島及大嶼山除外）組成。郊野公園及特別地區約佔土地四成。位於香港島和九龍半島之間的維多利亞港，是深水海港。漁護署海岸公園概述寫海洋總面積約 1 640 平方公里，與陸地總面積分開計算。 行政上，全港劃為十八個區議會分區。這與「香港島／九龍／新界」的地理分區並不完全等同：例如葵青、荃灣在地理上屬新界，但與市區交通及產業高度連接。

At end-2025 the Census and Statistics Department recorded a land area of 1,114.6 km²: Hong Kong Island 80.7, Kowloon 46.9, and the New Territories and Islands 986.9. Reclamation changes the figure slightly, so the year-end date matters. GovHK describes Hong Kong as Hong Kong Island, Lantau Island, the Kowloon Peninsula, and the New Territories, including 261 islands of 500 m² or more besides Hong Kong Island and Lantau. Country parks and special areas cover about 40% of the land. Victoria Harbour, between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, is a deep-water harbour. AFCD’s marine-parks overview states a sea area of about 1,640 km², counted separately from land area. Administratively Hong Kong is divided into 18 District Council districts. That grid does not map one-to-one onto the geographic labels Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories: Kwai Tsing and Tsuen Wan, for example, are in the New Territories but are tightly tied to the urban core.
