1994年，吳瑰岸首次拿起導筒，執導電影《死亡監獄》（The Jail of No Return）。
English
Hugo Ng (born 22 August 1959 in Singapore), whose real name is Goh Kwei Ann and who is known to audiences as Ng Doi-yung, is a Singaporean-born Hong Kong actor and director, with ancestral roots in Chaozhou, Guangdong. His stage name Ng Doi-yung, adopted after he moved to Hong Kong, gradually became the marker of his public identity. He began his acting career in Singapore and moved to Hong Kong in the 1980s. In 1988 he played the role of Hua Wuque in the TVB series Two Most Honorable Knights, becoming a sensation on the strength of his handsome jade-faced image, and he went on to appear in other series. In 1994 he first stepped behind the camera, directing the film The Jail of No Return, a bleak, Category III picture with an almost all-male cast whose oppressive mood reflected his frustration with his own position in the industry. He continued to work mainly as an actor, occasionally taking on directing duties; in 2015 he drew fresh attention for his role in a TVB drama series. For present purposes his principal identity is that of an actor; directing is only a secondary part of his career, and his inclusion among directors follows solely from his directorial work.
