宋存壽

宋存壽1930年出世，江蘇江都人，1949年到香港，就讀香港文化專科學校，同胡金銓、李翰祥相熟。1955年入四維影片公司做編劇，1956年轉入邵氏任編劇同副導演。1963年赴台灣，同李翰祥合組國聯電影公司，1966年首次執導《天之驕女》，隔年《破曉時分》大獲好評，有「文人導演」之譽。瓊瑤電影《庭院深深》《窗外》都係佢執導，而《窗外》更加係林青霞嘅第一部電影。2001年獲第38屆金馬獎終身成就特別獎，2008年病逝，終年77歲。

Born in 1930 in Jiangdu, Jiangsu, Sung Tsun-shou moved to Hong Kong in 1949 and studied at the Hong Kong College of Culture, where he befriended King Hu and Li Han-hsiang. He joined Si Wei in 1955 as a screenwriter and moved to Shaw Brothers in 1956 as writer and assistant director. Settling in Taiwan in 1963, he co-founded Grand Motion Picture with Li Han-hsiang, made his directing debut in 1966 and won acclaim as a 'literati director' with At Dawn the Next Day. His Qiong Yao adaptations include The Deep Garden and Outside the Window, the latter being Lin Ching-hsia's film debut. He received the Golden Horse Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001 and died in 2008 aged 77.
