張曾澤1931年出世，原籍青島，政工幹校影劇系畢業，先喺中國電影製片廠做紀錄片剪接同軍教片導演。李翰祥喺台灣創辦國聯影業時，佢係第一位獲提拔嘅本地導演，之後歷任中影、國泰（香港）同邵氏兄弟嘅基本導演，執導數十部電影。佢憑《路客與刀客》同《筧橋英烈傳》兩度奪得金馬獎最佳導演，《悲歡歲月》獲中國文藝獎章電影導演獎。1982年創辦大涵影視傳播，電視作品《前夫》獲金鐘獎導播獎。2010年逝世。

Born in 1931 to a Qingdao family, Chang Tseng-chai graduated from the Political Warfare Cadres Academy's drama department and began in film as a documentary editor and director of military training shorts. When Li Han-hsiang founded Grand Motion Picture in Taiwan, Chang was the first local director he promoted; he went on to be a contract director for Central Pictures, Cathay (Hong Kong) and Shaw Brothers, making dozens of features. He won the Golden Horse Award for Best Director twice, for The Road Runner and The Everlasting Glory, and later founded a television production company whose dramas won Golden Bell awards. He died in 2010.
