林正英1952年出世，京劇戲班出身，七十年代做李小龍《唐山大兄》等片嘅武術指導，是龍虎武師嘅中堅。1985年主演《殭屍先生》，一句一板一眼嘅「一字眉」道長形象深入民心，掀起全球殭屍片熱潮，其後《殭屍家族》《一眉道人》持續開拓類型。1997年11月佢因肝癌離世，終年44歲，香港影壇永遠嘅「九叔」。

Lam Ching-ying, born in 1952, trained in Peking opera and served as action director for Bruce Lee's The Big Boss and others, a backbone of Hong Kong's stunt guild. Mr. Vampire (1985) made his stern one-line-brow Taoist priest an icon and sparked a worldwide jiangshi craze, extended by sequels like Mr. Vampire II. He died of liver cancer in November 1997, aged 44 — Hong Kong cinema's forever 'Uncle Nine'.
