譚炳文1933年出世，祖籍廣東新會，係香港少數涉足播音、配音、唱歌、演戲同導演嘅多棲藝人，亦係香港首位賽馬評述員。佢把聲陪伴香港人半個世紀，配音工作桃李滿門，行內尊稱佢做「配音王」同「配音教父」。2021年無綫電視綜藝節目《好聲好戲》、翌年第40屆香港電影金像獎嘅悼念環節，都有向佢致敬。佢2020年9月病逝，終年86歲。

Born in 1933 to a Xinhui family, Tam Ping-man was one of Hong Kong's rare all-round entertainers — announcer, dubbing artist, singer, actor and director — and the city's first horse-racing commentator. His voice accompanied Hong Kong for half a century, and his many dubbing students earned him the titles 'King of Dubbing' and 'Godfather of Dubbing'. He was remembered in TVB's 2021 tribute programme and at the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards the following year. He died in September 2020 aged 86.
