蔡瀾1941年喺新加坡出世，長居香港，係作家、美食評論家同前電影監製。七八十年代佢效力邵氏同嘉禾，監製嘅電影包括《僵屍先生》系列。不過佢最廣為人知嘅身份係美食同旅遊作家，喺香港各大報章撰寫專欄，出版數十本著作。佢親切易讀嘅文風同對美食嘅淵博知識，令佢成為深受喜愛嘅文化人物，亦曾擔任紀錄片《舌尖上的中國》顧問。

Chua Lam, born in 1941 in Singapore and based in Hong Kong, is a writer, food critic and former film producer. He worked for Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest in the 1970s and 1980s, producing films including entries in the 'Mr. Vampire' series. But he is best known as a food and travel writer, with columns in major Hong Kong newspapers and dozens of books. His warm, accessible style and vast knowledge of food made him a beloved cultural figure, and he served as an advisor on the documentary series 'A Bite of China'.
