徐克1950年出世，係香港電影最具影響力嘅人物之一。作為七十年代末香港電影新浪潮嘅代表人物，佢導演同監製咗一系列開創類型嘅經典，包括《英雄本色》（監製）、《倩女幽魂》同《黃飛鴻》系列。佢嘅技術創新同視覺風格改變咗香港動作電影，其後憑《狄仁傑》系列喺中國大陸再創高峰。佢多次獲得香港電影金像獎最佳導演。

Tsui Hark, born in 1950, is one of the most influential figures in Hong Kong cinema. A leading figure of the Hong Kong New Wave in the late 1970s, he directed and produced a string of genre-defining hits including 'A Better Tomorrow' (as producer), 'A Chinese Ghost Story' and the 'Once Upon a Time in China' series. His technical innovation and visual flair transformed Hong Kong action cinema, and he later found success in mainland China with the 'Detective Dee' series. He has won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Director multiple times.
