甄子丹1963年喺廣州出世，母親麥寶嬋係著名武術家，十一歲隨家人移居美國波士頓，自幼精通中西武術。八十年代經袁和平提攜回港入行，《洗黑錢》同《少年黃飛鴻之鐵馬騮》展現凌厲腿功，2005年《殺破狼》同吳京嘅窄巷對打至今仍是影迷經典。2008年《葉問》令佢登上事業高峰，一連四部曲將詠春宗師嘅形象帶入全球家庭。其後參演《俠盜一號：星球大戰外傳》同《殺神John Wick 4》，成為少數喺國際大片擔正嘅華人動作巨星。

Donnie Yen, born in Guangzhou in 1963 to famed martial artist Bow-sim Mark, moved to Boston at eleven and trained in both Chinese and Western martial arts. Discovered by Yuen Woo-ping, he rose in 1980s and 1990s Hong Kong cinema with blistering kicks in Tiger Cage and Iron Monkey, while his alley duel with Wu Jing in SPL (2005) became a fan classic. The Ip Man series (2008–), portraying the Wing Chun grandmaster, catapulted him to global fame, and roles in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and John Wick: Chapter 4 made him one of the few Chinese action stars to headline major Hollywood films.
