1984年出世，譚惠貞係香港女導演兼電影編劇，喺香港城市大學嘅創意媒體電影藝術系以一級榮譽畢業。讀電影之前，佢用「藍天」做筆名，喺香港出過好幾本小說，例如《黑夜中的挑燈者》、《花葬》、《我跟寂寞戀愛》等。編劇作品包括《危城》、《湄公河行動》、《掃毒》，並憑《湄公河行動》獲百花獎最佳編劇提名。佢執導嘅第一部電影係第二屆首部劇情電影計劃得獎項目《以青春的名義》（2017），同時入圍第58屆亞太影展嘅最佳編劇；2019年佢為電視劇《理想國》兼任監製、編劇同導演。

Born in 1984, Tam Wai-ching is a Hong Kong screenwriter and director who graduated with first-class honours in creative media from City University of Hong Kong. Before film she published several novels under the pen name Blue Sky. Her screenwriting credits include The White Storm, Call of Heroes and Operation Mekong, the last earning a Hundred Flowers Award nomination for best screenplay. Her directorial debut, Somewhere Beyond the Mist (2017), came from the second First Feature Film Initiative and brought her an Asia-Pacific Film Festival nomination for best screenplay; in 2019 she produced, wrote and directed the series The Republic.
