Central is Hong Kong’s earliest administrative and commercial core. From pre-colonial waterfront population to reclamation, streets, piers and post-war rebuilding, this is the densest record of how a place became a city centre.

Street-name changes and building heights not recorded in the archive are not added; reclaimed-land area is a statistic and lives in the relevant topic and /stats, not here.

同一批條目亦可能出現喺其他軸（志錄一條條目可以同時提到幾個地方）： 灣仔（重疊 27 條）、填海造地（重疊 25 條）、維多利亞城（重疊 5 條）、旺角（重疊 4 條）、沙田（重疊 4 條）、廣州（與香港往來）（重疊 2 條）。呢頁唔會因為重疊而刪走條目，亦唔會當成「重複計算」——每條軸各自完整。
