廣州喺香港境外，但志錄提到佢嘅密度僅次於本地地名：省港航運同貿易、廣九鐵路通車、省港大罷工、戰前戰後嘅人口流動，到改革開放後嘅粵港往來。呢條軸只收條目原文有「廣州」二字者，把香港同廣州之間嘅往來排成一線，唔會把廣州本身嘅歷史寫成香港史。

Guangzhou lies outside Hong Kong, yet the archive names it more often than almost anywhere else: Canton–Hong Kong shipping and trade, the opening of the Kowloon–Canton railway, the Canton–Hong Kong strike, population movement before and after the war, and post-reform exchanges. Only entries whose own text contains the name are collected, so the thread shows ties between the two cities rather than turning Guangzhou’s own history into Hong Kong’s.
