西貢係志錄追得最遠嘅地方之一：由宋代大廟灣北佛堂同最早有明確年代嘅刻石、清代蠔涌村落同海盜記事，一路到鹽田梓、漁業同郊野海岸。呢條軸把西貢半島同其海域嘅條目排成一線，睇「一個地方由文獻最初出現到近代」係咩樣。

Sai Kung is one of the places the archive traces furthest back: the Northern Fat Tong at Tai Miu Wan with the earliest firmly dated inscription, Qing-era villages at Ho Chung and pirate raids, then salt-making, fisheries and country-park coast. The peninsula and its waters line up from first appearance in the record to modern times.

西貢區嘅人口同住戶入息數字只經 facts.ts 派生，而且係全區口徑（包含將軍澳），唔等於呢條軸所收嘅西貢半島同海島條目；村落數目、漁獲等未有官方登記數字者唔會估算。

Population and household-income figures for Sai Kung District come from facts.ts only and are district-wide (including Tseung Kwan O), not the peninsula and island entries collected here; village counts and catch figures with no registered official number are not estimated.
