    滙豐銀行（香港上海滙豐銀行）成立 / Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) founded

    1865 年 3 月，香港上海滙豐銀行（HSBC）喺香港成立，同年於上海開設分行。滙豐其後成為香港最大銀行同發鈔銀行之一。

    In March 1865 the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) was established in Hong Kong, opening a Shanghai branch the same year. HSBC later became one of Hong Kong’s largest banks and note-issuing banks.
