On 13 March 1892, Yeung Ku-wan, together with Tse Tsan-tai and five others, founded the Furen Literary Society at Pak Tsz Lane in Central, with Yeung Ku-wan as president; the group promoted Western learning and patriotism and later became a key platform for rallying Chinese revolutionaries in Hong Kong.

1892年4月1日，蚊尾洲一級燈塔於中國水域正式啟用發光，該座燈塔在當時全中國範圍內，屬於唯一一項由香港承建商負責興建的燈塔工程。
On 1 April 1892, the Waglan Island first-order lighthouse officially began operating in Chinese waters, the only lighthouse project in all of China at the time built by a Hong Kong contractor.

1892年10月10日，香港板球代表隊的十一名成員乘坐英國客輪「布哈拉號」由上海返港期間，在澎湖姑婆嶼附近遇到颱風，導致船隻沉沒，船上乘客等共一百二十五人罹難。
On 10 October 1892, while the eleven members of the Hong Kong cricket team were returning to Hong Kong from Shanghai aboard the British passenger ship Bokhara, a typhoon near Gupo Island in the Pescadores caused the ship to sink, killing 125 people including passengers.
