1895年4月13日，港府就規管華人移民頒布一條條例，訂明若香港以外地區爆發鼠疫、霍亂、天花等傳染病，港督會同行政局有權透過憲報公告，禁止或限制疫區華人進入香港。
On 13 April 1895, the Hong Kong Government enacted an ordinance regulating Chinese immigration, providing that if plague, cholera, smallpox or other infectious diseases broke out in areas outside Hong Kong, the Governor in Council had the power, by notice in the Gazette, to prohibit or restrict Chinese from epidemic areas from entering Hong Kong.

1946年4月13日，香港軍政府公佈啟動戰時損失索賠登記作業，本地商號、機構及個人須把損失摘要遞交求償戰時損失登記處完成登記，以備日後向日本索償。
On 13 April 1946, the Hong Kong military government announced the commencement of registration of wartime loss claims, requiring local firms, institutions and individuals to submit summaries of their losses to the War Losses Claims Registry so as to be registered for future claims against Japan.

1967年4月13日，香港人造花廠因勞資問題出現爭議，廠方不接納工人訴求；4月28日及29日，該廠以生意收縮為理由，裁減658名僱員，當中有部分工人代表。
On 13 April 1967, a dispute arose at the Hong Kong Artificial Flower Works over labour issues, and the factory did not accept the workers' demands; on 28 and 29 April, the factory dismissed 658 employees on grounds of business contraction, including some worker representatives.
