差餉物業估價署：由政府公布新差餉估價冊由 1999 年 4 月 1 日起生效，此後須每年重估差餉。

嶺南學院正名為嶺南大學 / Lingnan College renamed Lingnan University
嶺南大學校史寫 1999 年正名；教資會附件記《嶺南大學條例》通過後自 1999 年 7 月起改稱嶺南大學。香港復校可追溯至 1967 年嶺南書院。
Lingnan’s history page records the 1999 university title; the UGC annex states the name change took effect from July 1999 after the Lingnan University Ordinance. Re-establishment in Hong Kong began with Lingnan College in 1967.
