1685年，錦田鄧氏舉辦了第一屆太平清醮，目的在於追念周王二公，往後每隔十年舉行一次，這項活動是香港現時所知歷史最長的太平清醮。
In 1685, the Tang clan of Kam Tin held the first Tai Ping Ching Chiu to commemorate the two lords Chow and Wong, and it has been held every ten years since, making it the longest-known Tai Ping Ching Chiu in Hong Kong.

1968年4月20日，元朗十八鄉天后誕慶祝活動一連三日舉行；會景巡遊中，潮僑花炮會動員108人，以梁山泊故事人物造型亮相，成為元朗區天后誕首度引入潮州「英歌舞」之例。
On 20 April 1968, the Tin Hau Festival celebrations in Shap Pat Heung, Yuen Long, were held over three days; in the parade, the Chiu Kiu Firecracker Association mobilised 108 people dressed as characters from the story of Liangshan Po, the first instance of the Chaozhou "Yingge dance" being introduced to the Tin Hau Festival in Yuen Long District.
