On 28 December 2014, the section of the MTR West Island Line extending from Sheung Wan to Kennedy Town, including Sai Ying Pun Station and HKU Station, entered service.

2014年12月30日，房委會發售新一批居屋，涉及五個屋苑、合共2160個單位，此乃2007年恢復出售居屋後首次推出的新建居屋。
On 30 December 2014, the Housing Authority put a new batch of Home Ownership Scheme flats on sale, involving five estates and a total of 2,160 units, the first newly built HOS flats offered since the resumption of HOS sales in 2007.
